TRANSHUMANCE - Dragash
The Dragash region is mainly mountainous and traditionally this area has been treated with agriculture and livestock, where it is famous for its rich pastures and quality agricultural produce. During the summer a large number of farmers send their sheep to high mountain pastures where the grass is abundant and of high quality. This practice has once been a major source of the region, where, besides the farmers in Dragash / Dragaš municipality, there was also an agricultural cooperative "Sharr production" which was mainly engaged in agriculture. In recent years this activity has fallen sharply and there are few breeders who send the sheep to the highlands of Sharr. It is organized from 1st June to 15th September.
