Jeremia (Jeremiah) is a periodic holiday that is celebrated in the spring when life begins to bloom. On this day, the village girls make a show in nature, sing songs of nature’s bloom, where the main ritual is: "Jeremi, Jeremi, bollë e gjarpër në Vërri" (Jeremiah, boa snake on winter pasture). On the same day, they bring black soil back home from the creeks and streams to paint the bottom part of their house walls. They also bring clay to make clay pots (a pot on which bread was baked until not a very long time ago.
