The summer, or the first day of spring, is a traditional holiday in the Municipality of Dragash. It is thought that the celebration of this day comes from antiquity where this day is considered a pagan celebration. Due to the fact that the Dragash region reigns wild winters, so the spring of the year the inhabitants of this area have been enjoying themselves traditionally the arrival of the spring The ceremony starts on March 13, a day that Opoja is known as "the Night of Verza". This day, young girls gather in groups and sing traditional songs the arrival of the spring, while the young boys gather trees and shrubs and prepare the fire. Fires usually are sparked in the evening at a hillside near the village and are competing among neighborhoods for who have the biggest fire. The housewives, or the ladies of the houses, cook this day eggs "flija" "pite" traditional food for children as well as adults.
