Tourism is one of the most complex activities of today's modern society. Sharri Region has considerable potential for public enjoyment, formal and informal tourism and revenue generation for businesses and local population as well as for local and central authorities. The region is rich in stunning natural beauty. It is the location of the Sharri Mountains with their beautiful landscapes and valleys and has lakes, large forests, cold springs and rivers. The vegetation is still rich and diverse and the region is rich in water resources.
The types of tourism that take place in the Sharri Massif are: mountain, winter, summer, rural tourism, outdoor activities, health tourism, alpinist tourism, tourist excursions. The Sharr tourist area is polycentric, Prizren, Shtërpcë, Dragash, which have convenient communication positions in important tourist sites. Between these three spaces there are spaces with the possibility of enjoying the untouched nature, daily excursions of visitors. Before '99 - Kosovo with great sacrifices created the potentials of the tourist economy in Brezovica. The entire ski season consists of local guest groups, workers of international organizations, mainly day or weekend tourists. Hotels, cable cars, and other facilities do not work at full capacity, as they are attenuated.
As a locality that is of high value for tourism development, Prevalla, a part of which belongs to the Prizren municipality entering the border of Sharr Mountain National Park. The types of tourism that take place in the Prevalla area are: mountain tourism, winter, summer, outdoor activities, health tourism, tourist excursions. In Prevalla there is no adequate tourist infrastructure, and everything is improvised and created for "temporary" use (weekend cottage construction, restaurants, motels, tents). Offering guest services is based on low-level, unscheduled, and non-sustainable tourism services.
Local, individual, family and group tourists with relaxation and recreational purposes are made especially during the summer for refreshments at campsites, beside rivers, lakes, or during the winter season at the ski centers. These are visited by the local tourists, mainly those who go for weekend-picnic and outdoor stay while there are groups of tourists who for health and tourism reasons stay longer and settle in the shepherds' stables.
MOUNTAINEERING
In the municipality of Prizren there are regular mountain-climbing activities. Near the village of Struzhë is the mountaineer's house, which functions within the mountaineering association Sharri. It offers accommodation and various services related to the activity of the mountain. The peaks which are conquered by the mountaineers are: Bistra, Maja e zezë, Kobilica, Vërtopi i vogël, Vërtopi i madh, Kara Nikolla, Shkarpa, Oshlak, Koxha Ballkan, Ostrovica, Qerenik, Konjushka.
MOUNTAIN CYCLING
Dragash is one of the municipalities offering numerous opportunities for mountain cycling. Of particular importance are: Brod-Shutman Path; Restelicë - FYR Macedonia; The pathway around Ravish to Brrut. In Opojë there is an exploration trail of the villages, starting from the village of Bellobrad, with a length of about 11.5 km.
MOUNTAIN HIKES
Hiking to Mount Koritnik: Most of the time during the year the mountain top is covered with snow. The trail starts pass the village of Rapca; Initial height: 950 meters; Highest point: 2,395 meters; Length: 13.07 km.
WALKING ALONG RADESHA RIVER
It follows a river through a beech forest to the end of one side of the gorge and then descends along a separate river emerging from a nearby gorge. The trail follows a loop and offers the possibility of ending the walk by walking through the main part of Radeshë. The departure is from the village of Radeshë. Initial height: 1,350 m; Highest point: 1,550 m; Length: 4.95 km.
WALKING BROD - MALI ÇULE
The walk begins with instant climbing and there are some flat areas. There are many small trails that branch out from the shepherd's main pathway. Mali Çule can be viewed at any time by facilitating navigation in the right direction. Departure: Brod village. Initial height: 1,384 m; Highest point: Mali Çule - 2,220 m; Distance: 5.76 km.
BIRDWATCHING
Birdwatching areas include: Drini River, Sharr Mountains (Prizren), Brod (Dragash). In Limth at the vicinity of the Black Rock a camping site was built. The most characteristic birds: Golden Eagle, ACCIPITRIDAE Family, Aquila chrysaetos type; Nightjar, CAPRIMULGIDAE family, type Caprimulgus Europaeus; Nuthatch - SITTIDAE family, Tichodroma Muraria type; Buzzard, ACCIPITRIDAE family, Buteo type; Heron, ARDEIDAE family, type Ardea Cinerea; Stork, the CICONIDAE family, type Ciconia Ciconia; Pheasants, PHASIANIDAE family, Perdix Perdix type, Grey Partridge.
HUNTING
The southern region is considered relatively rich in hunting animals. Hunting is allowed from 15 October to 15 February. The animals allowed for hunting are: wild boar, hare, fox, wolf, grouse, cornfield and mountain pheasant, pheasants. The most popular hunting spots are: Trumshi, Planej, Pashtrik (Prizren); Gurra e Zezë, Kushnin (Prizren); Prevalla (Prizren); Kodra e Pikëllimës (Rahovec); Kodra e Zatriqit (Rahovec); Grejkoc village (Suharekë); Duhle village (Suharekë); Trepezë forests (Malishevë); Berishë forests (Malishevë); The part of Opoja and Gora outside the National Park.
CAMPING
The Southern Region offers numerous opportunities to increase capacity and raise them in the future to develop various outdoor activities. This also offers the opportunity to stay in these mountainous areas by utilizing areas such as camping or mountain lodges where we can emphasize a few such as: Limth Camping over Zaplluzhe village and Hostels at the Qafa e Elmës in Zaplluzhe village. There is also a mountain house in Struzhe.
